I thought up this suggestion for BF2 the other today. Basically it would be an extra asset for the commander. The commander would be given an extra weopon. An EMP device.

Basically the commander would use this device to disable enemy vehicles for a limited time. The device would effect an area of say 50-100 meters and the damage would be instantaneous. It would be like a pulse and vehicle unlucky enough to be in that area would be out of action for x amount of time.

This would be good to balance the game. Any aircraft emp'ied in effect is shot down, so this would be a way to bring down those annoying players who only fly j10's or helicopters.

I know this will never be introduced by EA because patch 1.4 will only stabalise the game not introduce more features. So what do you think?

not the worst idea i ever heard, but an EMP would be out of place in BF2.

Try Planetside or BF2142.

Lol they have it on 2142, well when I played as Commander your arty is like an EMP blast, just fooks up soldiers visions and fooks up vehicles like Tanks.

YEa like shooting a AT rocket thru a moving humvee with no damage or getting hit with a M95 and not loosing half your body, or evadeing aa missle by doing a barrel roll!!!!!!!
