basicly if you pre-order with best buy, you get the SCAR-11 gun that can NEVER be unlocked otherwise.

That's pretty stupid, I already have mine pre-ordered at EB Games.

It seems like it's all about marketing, sales, and ultimately; money.

I mean sure, it's a business, not unlike many others, however, it's a GAME. it's suppose to be for fun and we shouldn't have to choose what's best for us. The game/s should be presented to us in their entirety and we should all just have fun.

I have the beta and despite EA's bullshiit, 2142 is pretty solid.

The fact they added alot of much needed features in BF2, and the interface is alot more user friendly, I enjoy it alot. So we'll see.

Well what do you expect, it's EA, they don't care about the game or the consumer, just how much cash they can make off of each in as little time as possible. They're just greedy, simple as that.

And as for 2142 being a solid game, just wait a few months after its been out, you'll most likely see glitches and glitchers all around, you just don't see them now becuase no one has been playing long enough to see or find any.

EA/Dice's games are like old fashioned rope; as they get older the ends start to fray and come apart.

I was extremely excited about the release of BF2 I had pre-ordered, downloaded all the movies, watched the games news sites etc.

However, since the bug ridden poorly supported and inadequately patched BF2 was in effect a shrink wrapped beta they can simply stick it where the sun don't shine.

They can offer me 100,000 points with it and whatever else, there is still no way I'm buying it.

Someone had already said thanks because they were unaware of the gun. It's a good deal if you want to grab it, I just don't they should have gone about it the way they did.
