Lol I laughed so hard at EA's reason to have no jets in bf2142

no Jets in bf2142 because of the cost to construct, maintain, and protect airfields during the Second Ice Age. The wide use of hover aircraft technology requires less space needed to operate the vehicle since it can take vertical take offs and landings. It's the ice age.. land is scarce. So no more airfields or jets. This is just EA's reason to take out jets to make the game more balanced.

I and I Am sure a whole bunch of other people will defanitly not be buying or playing bf2142 because they just took out what we do best.

Yes, it's a cop out. Apparently the devs at DICE are better at coding than they are at playing so they never knew people could rule the skies if they were skilled enough in a jet, so rather than make it more balanced like BF1942's prop planes were, they decided to remove them entirely.

I think they intend to make BF2142 an Infantry Dominated game, since the majority of BF2's playerbase are ground pounders.

Personally i think its a great idea to take out the planes as being wiped out every couple of seconds by one isnt my idea of fun, But dont get me wrong i aint whining i love bf2 for what it is and having then planes in it is a good thing it makes the game seem so much "bigger". But with 2142 i think your right about there taking the "jets" out due to the J-10 whining, but aren't the new hover jets or w/e there called able to fly like jets as well?

Ya from the videos the air power they have now is imba enough for all you pilots, I dont even think theres AA so it should be perfect.

the only effective AA i've used in 2142 is that which is mounted on top of the mech walkers, and the attack hovercraft or whatever its called flies hella fast like a jet...just because you dont use a joystick to fly it wont mean its not a good thing to replace the jet with, plus the game is supposed to be futuristic and just seeing a jet with a new model isnt enough they have to add more spice to the game so i'd just assume stop whining about it and go play a flight sim or something if you want to fly that badly, the battlefield series is based on a variety of vehicles (land and air) on a large scale map where overall teamwork is rewarded (not whoring up a j-10 because you think its cool or its the only thing you are good at)

personally i dont have a problem with jets at all so i dont see why people complain about j-10s and what not, so i guess that will rule out any counter-arguement of "you are just a jet hater because you get pwned"

Don't worry, the gunships will dominate ALL once people learn to use them properly: I solo'd with the damn thing on my first try so trust me when I say you'll be complaining to nerf them in no time...

I dont really know why they always insist on having air vehicles super strong, I mean it should just be like any other vehicle. Sure alot of things might have a view of it when you fly over a populated area but if you fly smart there shouldnt be any problem. And you'd think they'd have some sort of weakness since they can fly over impassable terrain anyways but instead they get even more bonuses to compensate for it all.

reaction time/stable gunning platform....if you dont have a skilled pilot/gunner duo then they are easy to shoot down because they'll have to go at a slower pace to get any kills (the gunships have the potential to haul ***), i've repeatedly downed the gunship with the tanks...and the AA on top of the walker's rape

jets in bf2 arent really balanced. they could easily be balanced, but dice has given up it seems. honestly if they cant get jets working right, im compltly fine with not having them.

Hmm is this excuse real i dont understand how they can say that when they have jets that can verticaly take of and land in bf2. Dam ive even seen people cap flags with a jet by hovering on dalian plant very strange reasoning if its true.

Hahaha at this. I mean come on your not buying a game because their is no Jet? really FFS that is lame. It just shows all you can do is use a Jet, what do you suck at infantry? do you suck at using other vehicles. The main reason you play BF2 is for the Jet? I mean I use the Jet enough to say im good at using it, im also good at using the chopper, tank and even the AA and transport.

But you are just bound to one thing, thats ok yeah but not buying a game because it doesn't have Jets is stupid, it either shows you have no skill in other areas or your just being plain dumb.

from the video release of 2124, it looks like skynet vs humain resistance in terminator man, the machines are far more powerful then the humans with their lazer guns. i doupt any one would want to be on foot in bf2124. its funny how game producers choose the year for the futuristic games they make. like back in the 90's or 80s games story would say, in the year 2001, massive population of earth would be transfered to mars because of the deterioration of the planet earth. or in 2004, alien would take over the world and humains would resiste with their high *** tech weaponry and their hgh *** tech teleportation system. just like bf2142, that earth would be ice age and have all those tehchnology. but when we get to those years in real life,like 2001 -2004, its nothing of wat the futuristic games are describing, and it might never will, cuz reality just aint fun enough to meet the demands of the game makers.
