Naw it's not too late at all....the learning curve will be high but if you have played any BF games..or any FPS at all you will catch on. Just be prepared for people who are more skilled than you and please don't start yelling HACKER!

The people on these forums are really helpfull for the most part.....cept maybe the post above me but oh well....

Just play, have fun and feel free to ask questions..

BF2 in not a MMORPG so you won't find enemies who are equipped with uber-skills or weapons that will leave you without a chance. Sure, you may find that there are many players with so many hours of experience that they know every nook and cranny in the game, where to ambush you and snipe you from etc. etc. Also, there will be many who will know where traffic is congesting and it may seem like they know where you will be going, before you do.

Nevertheless, there is plenty of entertainment to be had and if you have good eyes, a fast wrist and can learn to insta-prone or dolphin-dive like the majority of players do, then you will be fine.

No but there are people with more practice. I've noticed the number of Noobs has died down considerably, and the same names keep popping up on the servers over and over again.

nah. there is alot of talk of bf2 dying, infact i started a poll myself asking people what they thought. the truth is even if some of the commmunity moves on to mods or 2142 (when it comes out) most of us will still be here. never too late to start, but be prepared to run into some stability problems.

the generally pubbing community of bf2 will be around for a while althought it might slump off after release of 2142/ET:QW, competition bf2 is taking a turn for the worse if thats what you're interested in..no clue how many more seasons of bf2 there will be
