meaning its a boat and is destroye easily,when some 1 is killed by a rib it means the machine gun in front of it.

Really? I thought that came up as M249 LMG. I've run over people with the RIB and been awarded kills by it that way.

And I've exploded one near a guy and picked up a RIB kill that way as well.

i think the mg on the boat is pointless. imo its harder to kill with than the apc gun ports.

Yeah, it's definately one of the more useless weapons..but hay, who's paying attention!?

That's because it's weak just like the M249 and generally the boat isn't sitting still at any time but rather floating or drifting slightly along in the water, making it quite difficult to hit what you're aiming at. Not to mention that if you're in an RIB you're out in the middle of the water and any half-decent sniper can pop your melon or you'll have an overzealous AT trooper (*points at self* ) sent a rocket your way. Thus why you nearly never see RIB kills.

I wonder, though, if the SAW on the end of it will be left on in IO mode. That would basically make it the only vehicle weapon in the game. I wonder if IO players will ever mention anything along the lines of RIB whores.

god i love the rib, everytime i see one heading down the river or ocean and im in a jet i wet my pants, they are sooo easy to strafe, just a couple bullets and boom. 9 times out of 10 i kill the driver and leave the boat tho.

Its the boat's gun in BF2, its only good for supressive fire.
