im buying BF2142, from what ive seen of beta some things init can be quite fun,

and given its on the same engine and most likely has the same bugs perhaps a 2nd game would make them fix it with another 5 patches

Fair play to NGOHQ, I wish more and more popular sites would post stuff like this, maybe then EA/whomever will take notice; at the end of the day, we are the consumers and we put the money into their pockets...

I wont be buying 2142, regardless of 'because it's the next game in the Battlefield series', I have been with BF since BF1942, and love the series to death, but frankly, 2142 is just a money making spin off.

All I can say for the future of BF2 is long live fan-made mods!

Let me direct you to the top of this webpage. There u will see the following in correct order: Total AA, Total BF2, Total BF2142, Total Crysis, and Total Quake Wars. The correct placement of this thread is the third option going in either direction.....

The article is 100% right, I definitely won't rush out to buy this game but will see what consumers say, not gaming sites as they always make out games to be better than they are and spam with pretty pictures.

Im sorry but where's the good game?? Im guessing your not reffering the "tuning" 2142 beta. maybe you can tell us who is going to win the superbowl this year and for the next 100 years since can see into the future so well. What with not having seen more than a few measly items and scene's from 2142, already you can tell its going to be a better game

I guess your just upset that not everyone has those puppet strings attached to their brains that the corporate machine evidently has on yours. :)

This is really our time to make a positive impact *before* it hits the shelves and fine tune it the way we like it.

It's better than buying it pre-beta, finding bugs and exploits, and then b1tching about it.

Just by its sheer size, the community has much more experience and know-how than a room of beta testers, so it's in both our and their best interest to do public betas.

In other words, beat the crap out of it now until it screams and make it the way you want it.

Maybe because every BF2 game has gotten better in my books? They improve upon each one and I like the style of gameplay unlike you guys.

That's what they need to do if they actually care. They don't understand that though. The game isn't final and they are pretty much asking us if we like it or what we want changed. What's to ***** about? They could have just shipped it by now if they really didn't care.
