I die in the end, out of bounds. I got confused by the bases, should've looked at the minimap. You can excuse me for my excitement though.

Wake Air Show. BF2C public server. Yea, I know I should'nt have flared right away. Its a lot easier to see that in the replay, lol. And I kept talking while I was dead cuz I thought the other guy died too...=/

Missles only matter in the F35.

Just about every other plane can ditch them that way.

Then people should stop bitching about it because that's a very basic maneuver, and something that elite pilots have recommended doing since the beginning of the game. I've seen "great pilots" say that it didn't work anymore. Well, it can.

What he ment by that, I think, is that no matter the maneuver yo do:

a) you will die if you're in an F35
b) you will NOT die if you're in a J10

Well, you will NOT die if you're in any plane except for the F35.

And I've tried doing that in the F35 today. Its "roll radius" is too small, not nearly as 'wide' as the F18's, so it was pretty hopeless. Plus, there's that extra 'virtual engine' for the missiles to lock onto.

Damn... I don't even know where to start.

Alright, you were in an F-18. I hope you realise J-10>F-18>Mig>bombers>F-35B as far as missle dodging goes.

So, you were in the superior fighter (but yet, only by a tiny bit, pretty much equal). So, missles SHOULD be hard to hit, and they aren't even going to hit 50% of the time. They will hit if you get a good angle on the other guy if he doesn't use flares. AGAIN, you are in an F-18.. it is known to dodge MOST missles, but not 95% of them like the J-10.

2nd If you were in the F-35B, this would be a whole different video (LOL). The way you launched your flares, the missles would definately fly right past them, and fly right into your @ss.

3rd...Dude, you should have been able to come back into bounds EASILY from that. Always look at the minimap, not the bases.



And for the last time, everyone knows, that for the most part, F-18/Mig is as fair a fight as you're gonna get in this game, without fighting in the same jets.

The F-35B on the other hand, literally gets hit by 99.9% of all missles fired at it, *if flares aren't used*. There are ways (by flying extremely high [900 ft] and pulling major G's by flipping upside down and doing a split-S type thing, but whatever), but it is pretty much, chances are too close to impossible.

While the J-10 is COMPLETELY the opposite of tthe F-35B






Basically, all I am trying to say is everyone already knows every plane except for the F-35B, is for the most part, balanced.

The reason you see a ton of posts talking about missles being "too good" or "unbalanced", is because if you go back and read them, I can bet you money, that they all are dealing with the F-35B.

I've tried to do it again on Kubra, dodged one missile out of...a lot, lol. I was letting them get behind me.

And I didn't really care about the out of bounds thing. It was my friend and I messing around, and two other guys came in. I died *shrug* whatever, I spawn in another 10 secs or whatever.

And I was a little shaken from having dodged 6 missiles...

@ Mettalicaguitrst -- Everyone keeps saying that its impossible to dodge missiles, and if you're locked on, then you're dead. Thats the general concensus. If that applies to only one aircraft, and only when flares are improperly released, then the argument holds no water. If any plane except the F-35 can dodge missiles, then the barrel roll should be added to the list of ways to avoid being shot down.

@ You_were_killedby -- Its a mod of the Wake Island 2007 map called Wake Air Show. Google if you want it. There are new skins on the jets, and it also has the Eurofighter.
