Idea: Switching seats in 2-seater vehicles

Imagine, you and your friend (on teamspeak) are waiting for a cobra to spawn. At the last second, another player runs up, the chopper spawns, and you and your friend get in. But, you want to swap pilot/gunner, without getting out and back in, which usually lets someone else pop into one of the seats.

Why couldn't Dice add it so that if both players are holding down the appropriate F1/F2 keys at the same time, it just switches them both simultaneously? This would work for tanks, helos, jets, etc.

I see what you are thinking, but if that happens, (usually the gunner can still fly) fly to the end of the airfield/carrier, then switch. This may create more bugs, and we dont want more bugs on the last patch.

Yes, but it wastes time, and if a J10 is harassing the carrier, well, good luck on that.

yeah, the solution is to take-off and head away from the field or carrier (aka TK Village) and make the switch then.

Try that in the F15. It's ok for a helo, but not a jet.

I've done that many times with choppers. Sometimes I've told my chopper pilot to let me fly (since he sucked lol) and he would fly somewhere safe and switch, then we'd proceed to do better with me flying and him gunning.

Class act right there. I respect people who think reasonably and make decisions that would not only benefit himself but other people too.

That happens in real life. I can't count the times that a gunner has switched seats with the pilot in mid flight....

Lt. Neal: "Hey Lt. Bob, you wanna take a shot at gunning for a while?"
Lt. Bob: "Yeah, I need to work on my K/D ratio. Why don't you just crawl back here and take over the stick."
Lt. Neal: "On my way. Ooooh Is that the "pitch" stick in your hands or are you just happy to see me?"

Neal and Bob, it's not just their names, it's what they do.

Fortunately, in real life, both pilot and copilot have access to all functions in the helicopter, just in case one of them is unable to battle.

That I do know, as I have flown in a Cobra before (Navy Acheivement Medal recipient), I was just having some fun.

Just dont do the force tks (withhout being punished) by flying out of bounds! Other than than that I have every right to be the gunner/pilot since i pressed e before your lagging friend!

That seems like a great idea.

To switch seats: Fly really high, gunner jumps out and parachutes, pilot dives down toward his partner and switches to gunner, partner jumps in, seats switched!
