Single Player Question

Hi all, i have purchased battlefield 2 and although i have a very high spec computer i have poor quality ADSL so cannot enjoy the online game so im stuck with single player which i actually enjoy, i dont know why everyone rates it as terrible all the time?..

Anyway my question is, how do i become commander in single player? any help would be appreciated!

In the Squad screen, click the "APPLY" button near the top.

Yes, this is exactly the same as in MP (except there is never competition for Commander; if you apply you get it). I usually prefer to just be a SL instead of commander. You don't get the satellite scan but you can still use UAV, supply drops, and arty whenever you want (except when the "virtual commander" is dropping arty on a flag being captured by the enemy). My squad seems to follow my SL orders much better than squads follow my commander orders.

Oh, also it will ask if you want to accept the commander position. You must choose to accept, of course (default is the PgUp key).

Also just on the tickets system, how exactly do they work? my understanding is that each team starts with 200 tickets and to win you must have ALL the flag points captured at one time or deplete your oppositions tickets to 0, am i correct? Id like to know how the tickets deplete also, i know the oppositions tickets flash and count down when you control more flag points then them, do they count down faster with the more points you control? And do tickets also get taken away for killing people of blowing up vehicles etc? thanks again for the help!

I have found when my net goes out when i play i play singleplayer for a little bit. but if i am cammander when i am in singleplayer and my team wins i found your score dosen't get X2 so i just be squad leader and request all the stuff by pressing T works for me should work for you :).

dude, u should go online man. Since u can afford a nice rack why dont u get a better ISP. This is THE GAME when u click that JOIN SERVER button, period.

That is fun, but if you set the difficulty over 80 you get completely annihilated right off hte bat no whatter what you do.
