Version 1.4 isn't out yet. If you want to play POE2, you're going to have to download it from somewhere. It doesn't need 1.4 patch to be installed to play.

To uninstall the beta 1.4 you just delete the Battlefield 2 folder and rename the copy you made before installing the patch. If you didn't make a backup then you get to reinstall BF2.

Yes, if you didn't make a backup of your BF2 like everybody has recommended, then you're going to have to completely uninstall, re-install, then patch to v1.3.
