This is the Battlefield 2142 Beta Client. Do NOT download this client unless you are currently involved in the Closed Beta, and have a key. This is the second version of the Beta, and includes many enchancements and fixes.

That is the revised version of the CLOSED beta. It's not open yet..

The OPEN beta will be next week.

Yeah you gotta subscribe to the free subscription...then hurry up and wait.

Getting the free subscription is a bit tricky, but its there.
Click on the Battlefield tab and then on the BF2142 banner. From there you'll get the key for the game.

I think its legit, you can actually register for beta there and I just got my Beta key as someone earlier posted here.

Um, I just went there and I've now got my key and I'm in line to download the client, look like an open beta to me :) (I'm not a subscriber)

Hopefully the beta does include the singleplayer component ?.
