Never been so annoyed in my life (patch issues)

Just got a new pc and was looking forward to my first bout on bf2 but wherever i download 1.3 from it NEVER works. When i try to start the setup it says that it has encountered a problem and needs to close with that stupid error report thing that never gets answered. I have downloaded it now from 4 sites including this one and im getting peeved to say the least.
Any ideas?

Try and uninstall BF2 and install it again and then patch it again.

If that diden work try and patch it with 1.22 and then repatch the 1.3 again.

Maybe that will work ?

Im not sure now that its a bf2 specific problem now because i just got the same problem when installing windows live messenger

perhaps try someones suggestion,, (not the easiest solution)

if its happening to other programs, its something wrong somewhere with the MSI (MS Installer, i think you can get updates for it), from google i gathering its problerly that rather than the OS itself

Yea Sar99 is right, try the official site of EA it works for me. Try filefront or gamespy.

You should just try to reformat. He said that he is having problems with diffrent files, so that means that he is not downloading corrupted files. There is something wrong. Just pop in the CD and reformat the system. You can also go to Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools>System Restore

You should try close all your other programs and then run it. I know on my computer with 1gig of RAM the patch will have a hard time running with mutiple windows of xfire open and Firefox open.

Just close them for 5mins and it should work.
