I just got POE2 today and I love the fallen. First round I hated it and got frustrated. But I guess most people hate it because you can be attacked from 360 degrees instead of one or 2 main ways in Vanilla. It takes team work to take and hold the flags. It's a very good map with nothing like it in other mods or any maps by DICE for Vanilla, SF, or boasters.

I wrote that post, and it wasn't filled with any angst. I made the same points I did in my last one only I didn't feel the need to hand pick all your statements and show you why you're a hypocritical nutball.

Also I would like you to piont out where I was insulting your intelligence. I simply stated that if you're going to insult people for not using 'reason' then you better revisit your posts, such as this gem: ":laugh:". In short, you accuse people of not using reason, but in your own posts you refuse to cite any worthwhile argument for your case. All you've stated is

I counted 5 on the first page. All of them provided more reasons and backup than any of your posts. If you want to go around calling people sophmoric you better gauge your own intelligence first.

Oh yea? I found 3 on the front page that cited actual reasoning.

I like it because it's one of those maps where everyone moves as a team.

I think Fallen comes as a nice change of pace and tactics after playing a few rounds of the other maps.

But the actual amount isn't the point. The point is that a minority of people have actually responded to the topic - the rest seem to think that taking shots at me is more relevant. Either way, eh.

Anyway, that was a good try - but you did spell sophomoric wrong in the same post that you tried to insult my intelligence.

Bascially if you don't play with any teamwork, all of the maps sucks. Especially Fallen which is a map that demands to be played with teamwork. Otherwise it is just a mindless free for all death match.

Kudos to the 3 people (out of how many replies?) who have actually posted legitimate reasons that they enjoy this map. The rest of you, well, maybe your sophomore debate classes next year will help you form relevant replies in the future.

Perfect map for Katana only server, but I dont really like it, its like Songua Stalemate with no vehicles, After a lont time of not using vehicles, A. Either my team is a bunch of noobs, or B. i suck and they pwn me a lot, I dont like the map much as others, takes the fun of the real meaning of Bf2, which is basically the ability to use vehicles. I'll tell you every time i play the map i had some bad experience, First I was new to the mod, and never seen it before, so I go searching for a car to find out there is not one, so I spawn on my squad leader, we both get killed in a few muinites. GOt crash to desktop on that map, fine. Next server, good map, near the end, next map you guessed it...fallen. I play as germany (server switch teams every round) there was a squad, 4/6 and the rest 1/6 or unassigned. i joined the one that is 4/6 to help the team out more, got kicked from squad in 2 mins. I see no more guys join the squad later on, so I joined it again, told me NO PUBBERS< and kicked me again, joined a squad with 1/6 guys in it, my squad leader sucked at combat, we got killed and never got a flag. GOt disconnected, Played the next day, ...fallen. I think id help the team out so i'll help the squad leader, joined a squad 4/6 guys. Get pwned, our team lost, side switch, lost again. thats why I dont like that map

No point in argueing enjoyment, or why I find brunettes much hotter than blondes, its just the way it is.

Other people have managed to articulate the reasons why they like the map - so no.

Thats what I had in mind. Why do people love Fallen ? All it is people camping inside grass shooting others. You start shooting at them they dive in the grass and shoot back at you. Without know where the enemy is anymore or who is shooting you. I think it is a boring map in my opinion. Every round they do the same thing. Also, about moving in teams I played Fallen quite a lot and no one moved as a team.

I love infantry only maps, and cant wait for Lost Village, Urban seige, and Basrahs edge, part 2. Hopefully there is a great urban infantry only map from POE2, there stattics are bad ***, and would love to see how they would do this kind of map.

Vairable, if you don't like something don't play it don't go whinging about it to others. And then try and prove you are something by trying to downplay your stupid comments with your stats. Stats and stat whores is what ruined BF 2. Yes i still play BF 2 but i don't go whinging about stats whores

I belive the reason that some/ a lot of people like fallen is because its a infantry only, as far as i know there is not any other infantry only maps out for PoE2 so thats why its played a lot.

The map has a lot of cover and as someone meantioned its a even map. I have seen a lot of squad work played on it, squads all staying together and moving close to each other although in most severs you will get every squad on your side moving in one direction like a flock of birds towards the next flag needed lol

first of all you start a thread insinuating that if you like fallen you are somehow "high" or "stupid".

Then you say you have a right to your opinion. WTF are you smoking m8? There is a difference between sharing your opinion openly and blatantly preaching down to everyone.

Yes you are entitled to your opinion - but tht sure as hell doesn't give you the right to say that others who don't share your closed minded view are somehow under the influence or unable to form a non drug induced opinion.
