Either have one hell of a system, lots of ram, high end video card and a good cpu. I suppose hdd speed could play a factor too.

Try adjusting your screen size (mine is maxed out at 1280x1024 with everything on high) and I can get decent fps if I lower the frame size by 1 or 2 notches.

low graphic settings + fraps = teh lose.

I guess for comparison's sake, I run BF2 with the recommended settings from tweakguides.com at 1280 x 1024, Fraps set to 1/2 size, 60 fps.

My hardware is an Athlon X2 3800+ (Dual core @ 2Ghz), 1GB PC3200, GeForce 7800 GT, Seagate 250GB SATA.

I get 40 fps when recording with Fraps.

Well it all depend on what quality you are seeking. And as [ht].ken said it comes down to hardware. It hits 3 hardware parts - CPU - GPU - HDD.

I noticed the higher I put the fraps recording FPS the better it ran but the faster the video player I can play very normal @ 50 FPS..
