BF2 online play support to end in 1 year

Have you guys heard anything about this? I was just on the EA forums and read this news:

Apparantly, EA only supports online gameplay for about 1 to 2 years. After that, it shuts down its master servers so there can be no online play. It just came out with a huge list of 1 to 2 year-old games that it was shutting off service for. The trend is the same with all EA games:

Already happend. Most of EA Official Servers are gone. But this doesn't mean that there will be no more online game as there are enough privately owned servers

I see, only ranked and your stats will be deleted as what the 'RUMOUR' said. Online play will still be availible. (See those BF 1942 servers still on?)

This is the 3rd post about the BF2 internet gameplay being wiped out. And they get locked up by admins

Even if EA does take down their servers, which I don't think they will as this rumor is not true. Nevertheless, nothing stops any clan or person from renting a server and running BF2 on it.

With the EA Official Servers it isn't a rumor as all EA US Official are shut down already.

Already happend. Most of EA Official Servers are gone. But this doesn't mean that there will be no more online game as there are enough privately owned servers

If they take down the master server, private servers won't have anythign to report to. Nobody will be able to find them without 3rd party master servers
