bf2 Specs Vs 2142 specs?

Hey can anyone tell me if bf 2142 is gonna be more harder to run than bf2 is. cause i know i can run bf2 with my rig just wondering if i could run 2142 with it. =D

Yeah, 2142 is "more harder" than BF2.

I have 1 gig of ram, and in BF2 I am fine, but in 2142, after the map loads (or re-loads), I get crazy lag in the first few minutes of the match.

It also takes so much longer to alt+tab. And it really is no better graphics (if not worse) than BF2.

IMO, it is a VERY fun game, and different, but everything is too weak.. it feels like EVERYTHING in the game is nerfed. IE it takes 2 camera missles to take out a tank, like 10 support bullets to kill someone... etc.

I found that it's a bit harder as of right now but the game has yet to be optimized or polished so don't count on it being higher minimum spec just yet.

Can it run BF2? Than it probably can run 2142, it's the same engine. At worst, you'll end up turning a few sliders down, but I'm sure u don't mind.

BF2142 runs on the same engine as bf2(except for some inproved effects) so it should be about the same, and it wont be surtain untill all the beta is done, and it is optimized.

2142 looks alot better, I can run both BF2 and 2142 on maximum highest settings (including 4xAA) over 50 frames per second. But I did some testing and I popped in a 7300 (I'm pce-e btw), and i noticed that I can run bf2 on all high 100% draw distance but with no anti-ailiasing, and it ran around 40-50 fps. Again on the 7300 i ran 2142 with all high but again, no AA, and i got about 20 fps. so there is a noticible difference between the two games. Pretty much, grab yourself a 7600GT (make sure its the 554 core) and you should be able to run both on the highest possible settings.

just becuase 2142 uses the same engine as bf2 doesn't mean that if you can run bf2 you can automatically run 2142.

Afterall take a game like GTA San Andreas, that uses the same engine as GTA3 but surely your not going to try and tell me if you can run GTA3 then you can run San Andreas? Becuae thats bollocks SA needs a lot more power. Also the GTA series are actually well coded so if its a problem for that its sure to be a problem for BF2 games.
