To the OP, I have 300 points to go until I have to give up the Seargent Major rank, I know how you feel, not really looking forward to it!
Of course 1 man can save the round for his team

example: Your on mec in Karkand, it is a close game, you "hold up" a small squad from taking the factory long enough for help to arrive, you saved the armor spawn, & the game:p

It's rare that someone actually says anything positive in the chat. It's interesting what a few stars will do...
Exactly, I wish that you could like IRL, remove your rank ingame sometimes, it just makes you a "high value target", but I understand, I like killin' generals as much as the next man

I have been a bit' of a armor whore, & have been really been putting in time on the ground lately, I was on PLA (China) on wake, we were beaten in to 1 flag, & were getting raped by arty, jets, tanks, & choppers, which gave infantry an advantage

I had like 8 kills, & 12 deaths in the middle of the round when I killed this "inlisted" guy

      Conversation went like this

He said, "You suck, you must have stat padded to get your rank"
I said, "Your just mad because I killed you"
He said, "I could kill you, you have 12 deaths, you suck"
I said, "If 12 deaths means I suck, what does my 90,000+ kills mean?"
He said, "You suck, you don't deserve your rank"

The next round I got into a J-10, shot down all their F-35's, & bombed them back to the stone age, I wa like 35-3 k/d:)

I then asked him, "Are we happy now?"
      moral of the story

We need to be careful who we "dis'" when they are working on a particular weapon k/d, or trying to get a badge, & we think that we "pwn" them, you may not like the outcome

Reminds me of when I was trying to get my AT Specialist Expert Badge in Warlord w/ the PP-19, dudes would say, "the 3-star sucks", but when i xould see I wsn't going to get my badge that round, I woulf grab the RPK-74, or G3, & "set things right" LOL

Even when you "look deep down" into some 1's stats, it doesn't show you how much they have improved over time

Now that I am a general, I have to kill 2-to-1 w/ the same weapon all day, or 2 days in a row for a weapon stat to go up .01

The only way to know how good some 1 is, is to play w/ them, or against them

Also, unselfish, win oriented team players will often be much better than their stats would suggest because they put their team, & the win first

      imho

I think you're being a bit nonsensically deferential. They don't really eat breakfast in full Horatio Nelson garb y'know.
I think what he was trying to say was that when a "high rank" accidentally tk's you it is more likely to be a reasonable error, such as you were between him, & the enemy, or you both had the enemy in a crossfire, & were shoothing toward each other

What I don't see from "high ranks" is when you get "fragged" by a friendly, & there is NO ENEMY IN THE AREA :hmm: WTF

so let me get this straight, you had a self-proclaimed "infantry advantage" and still couldn't achieve a 1:1 k/d ratio...someone calls you on your "skillz"...you hop in a J-10 to "set the record straight" that you're really not a stat-padder and l337 in all your glory?

I say: irony wrapped in irony
but, tbh, isn't much differnt from the OP of the thread so I can't knock too hard...
