SF weapons, worth the upgrade?

I was playing BF2 the other day and picked up a kit that had a SF weapon, i can't remember which one exactly but it lead me to think about buying SF just for the unlocks. I seem to remember that the gun was really good, and whether or not i was disadvanteged on the battlefield by just having the standard BF2 guns. SF is going cheap nowadays, so is it worth it?

p.s. i know you can get a mate who owns SF to play on your account to get the unlocks, but thats not what i'm asking.

What do you think?

1. Yes, buy SF, the guns are worth the extra cost

2. No, BF2 guns are good enough / similar enough

i only bought SF for the guns and havent played it much at all so im pretty much an EA gimp giving them all my money for all they have released

I think the G36E deserves the $20.

I personally like Warlord better than Karkand for points. Get a palace war going and you get like 10-20 points/min.

The maps are fun but the unlocks do make the pack very cool, look for it on Ebay if your concerned your just buying it for the unlocks

Get SF for the unlocks but also play SF itself. A few of it's maps are some of the best in BF2.

POE2 weapons will pwn any bf2/sf weapons :P and they're FREE

SF has some really cool maps. If you buy it get it for the maps otherwise you might seem a bit foolish coughing up $20-30 for unlockable weapons.

1.) Yes, But Just get for guns, and WarLord and Ghost Town are the best. Thats the only 2 good ones

Get SF and play the maps. I've only just started playing it and am enjoying playing maps like Iron Gator and Warlord. Ziplines, grapling hooks, tear gas etc make for some more interesting game play as well ...

Another bonus for some is that the maps focus more on ground pounders rather than being in the air ...

It seems a waste to just buy it for the unlocks ...

I would recommend, some unlocks are better than the ordinary vanilla unlocks. There are also some great guns you can only use while playing SF, Scar-H and G36K are awesome :)
