Stats: Using Grap And Zip Question?

Yo,

Just a quick one today, when using the zip line does it only count towards my stats when I actually travel down it? Or, can I shoot it and then pick it up again? Same with grap hook?

It gets counted on the stats when you deploy it.

But i am not sure about traveling down on it.

I tried it, never use the thing actually, once got stuck on it and since not really fond of it. Deploy = count, got my basic award just by shooting a zip in front of me.

I remember a guy getting his stats reset for getting his expert grapple in one day (under the old requirements). he had something like 3500 deployments in one day.

Ahh I did want to quantify my post as the last thing I wanted to be seen as is a stat padder. I mean to filter it into the way I play. So if I'm at a flag waiting for it to go down say I could shoot off a few zips while waiting. Hmm how do you think this would be seen? As for 3500!? Gawd I get bored after I shoot 5-10 in a row. :)

i see alot of people toss out a grapple or 2 waiting for thier chopper / tank to respawn.

Don't bother too much. It's always nice getting an award or medal, despite of the nagging about stats. If you do not intentionally ruin the gameplay or bother others with it, I don't think you should feel guilty. When I have to walk some while and there are no allies nearby, I shoot some teargas too.

I think they need to latch onto some thing grapples or you dont get award im not sure though

i usually climb up it...its more fun!

the zip you can just shoot to wall or something. the grapple you have to use (as in climb up)

easy way to do this is on Commander when your supposed to be sitting still anyhow.

Why doesn't the stats keep track of the time using the hook? I have time for the gas grenades and zip, but no time listed for the hook.
