Steve Graves is a loo-hoo-suh-her. At least he admits that he sucks so bad at games that he has to cheat. Using the "I hate getting stuck going around a corner 50 times" excuse conveniently hides the fact that he sucks. Although not everyone plays a game for the same reasons, but what he mentions are the core reasons why a person decides to play and buy a videogame to begin with: The storyline, the graphics, the mechanics.
I think it is safe to assume when a company creates a videogame, they want the player to enjoy those things as well. The 1st time around should be difficult and challenging to a large extent. Who want to play a game that can be finished and overwith the 1st day?

Yes, cheating in online games is an ENTIRELY different matter.

Offline cheaters are lazy.
Online cheaters are scumbags.
