I hate ppl that create this kind of video. They put an hyper graphics in order to explain to the world that they are the best ..
I don't see anything special as part one with a good joystick.
Why, who make this kind of video, don't record and show to the world a round? a whole round? with the crashes, with something normal and not a collection?
Everyone could make a video like this in 2-3 years of game ..
Maybe on second before he was making a magic number for you ppl and after he crashed with the aircraft on a bridge because he was changing che camera to show to the world how much he's cool ..
I'm fed up with this kind of video-collection.
Go to play Barbie and get a life.

You sound like a groundpounder who has never been able to successfully fly a jet past the carrier. Well b!tched my young feathered friend. Its an "ownage" video, and as much as I hate the kind I give respect where its due. And his skills are remarkable. Maybe you can appreciate that aswell if you actually flew a jet in BF2.
That being said, my favourite video is PW Part1/2 because they show a pilots work in a round.
Yea you are right but the best score he has posted was an 21 3 .. (K/D) .. why? I can't understand the 3 .. because in the video he never crashes .. eh..
Yea he's good.
To answer to your question .. Sometimes I fly in a jet but with the keyboard i'm not skilled yet. I don't wanna try to become a "ownager", I don't care.
If you wanna see someone's skilled watch the video of the one who you have in your sig. That is a whole round video .. take a look at that ..
No music nor effects .. simply a video. And that is the way of every video should be do. (should be done? correct me please :))

Dogfighter. Dogfight. Dogfighting.
To explain. His video was "air to air" action. You do not make a dogfighting video and fight targets on land. And those 3 deaths may have come from ANYWHERE. Starting from TKs on ai air strip and up to stray missiles. Youre judging a persons SKILL for something you dont know nor can appreciate.
For example. If you create a grenade lobbing ownage video, you do not include footage of bullets. Why? Because its a grenade ownage video!
Yea he's good.
I believe the right words would be "FVCKING INSANELY GOOD". Its not just about his skills. I really think hes too good for some people to appreciate or handle.

And this is where the meat is. If youre not good at all, then please, try to appreciate the other peoples skill and dont critisize their videos basing your opinions on something absolutely invalid or straightout fabricated.

Is it a helo dogfighting video? Its a video similar to PWs. "How to use a tool effectively in game." Thats it. Calis video is specific, focused on dogfighting. I dont see WHY would you critisize the video for its lack of ground action?
No music or effects .. simply a video. And that is the way of every video should be do. (should be done? correct me please :))
Certainly. Just because Pulp Fiction was the greatest film of all times, doesnt mean Titanic should have been made using the same style, same approach and same detail. Different videos, different aim and different crowd to please.
You dont critisize Titanic for its lack of comedy because its a romantic drama. You dont critizise Aliens for its lack of romance because its sci-fi/horror. You see where Im getting at?
Always and forever in my humble opinion.
Indeed, but next time please try to base your opinion on valid points and issues.
I don't like video-collection.. :)
I know .. I could stay silent and keep for myself my opinion.
This is a forum, isn't it?
You have your opinion and me mine as well..
If I make a video collection like this in 2-3 years of video capture would you think that I'm the best pilot in the world?
No, maybe the best video collector of the world ..
I'll repeat for you .. this is an assessment that I give on this kind of video..
I wish to close here our discussion .. if you want to go straight ahead feel free to contact me by everything I've in my profile.
Hes a great pilot, and he definitally demolishes the competition. I loved the 1 vs 1's the most.
However, the scenes where he was showing himself bombing ground targets really slowed things down to a grinding halt for me. Pretty much every n00b with a joystick has shown the rudimentary ability to bomb the living piss out of everybody on the ground, and shoot down every helicopter in sight. Thats just how planes work.
However, it takes something special to dogfight the way he does though. It takes foresight.
I did kind of laugh at his score and kill death ratio though. He was only beating the second highest by ten points...

One thing you have to understand that once youre in total dogfight mode, you will not score the most and not be the best in score. Im a 100% dogfighter myself, which means that except for extreme conditions, jets comes first. Depending on opposing pilots skill, it takes some time to down them. Its not a rewarding job when it comes to points really, but thats not the aim anyway. In dogfighting, things become 1 vs 1, so its kinda like a mini-competition on its own. For a groundpounder, its probably that case where you are anxious to meet the best groundpounder on the opposing team.
Needless to say 21, or 23 kills while you are constantly doing sweeps against jets is not THAT bad. In comparision, PWs video has 2 dogfights and 2 failed chases and everything else was total ATG action and he scored 68 kills.
PW also apparently didnt have to deal with teamkillers, nor the uber-ATA missiles.
When Im on ATS, I can outscore most players with relative ease, no problems. When Im on ATA mode myself, I finish in TOP 5, maybe even TOP 10, depends on the competion.
And although finding proper balance between ATS and ATA is good for teamwork and personal score, this video is still pure ATA and Im pretty sure he took all his footage having ATA in mind, first and foremost.
EDIT: From a groundpounders perspective, imagine that youre going to do one task and one task only. Defending one certain flag during the whole round. Cant score that much doing that, but scoring isnt the aim.
The way Cali handles an aircraft both in bombing, dogfighting and camera control is pretty much identical to myself. All the best pilots will eventually settle on this method though the one thing I'm perplexed about is why he went to his rear camera after dropping a bomb. Camera wise though it seems that the "fly by" camera-mode-for-dogfighting cat is pretty much out of the bag at this point (I enjoyed it by myself for many months I'm sure). But sadly all of the dogfighting skill is for nothing because really dogfighting in 1.3 (and in 1.4 I assume) is so buggy, unpredictable and basic that it leaves real dogfighting competition shallow. It all centers around wonky hitboxes and missiles behavior. Sometimes missiles will miss for absolutely no reason, sometimes flares will be ignored, sometimes the missiles will do crazy turns and kill the target, sometimes missiles will explode on the target and do no damage, sometimes they'll explode on the target and do 80% damage (wtf) and the list of random variances and quirks goes on and on. The missiles in 1.12 might not have been deadly effective but they were consitant and reliable and produced similar results given similar variables.
That being said dogfighting competition in 1.3 is meaningless and as such... pointless. In a real round dogfighting is just about the biggest waste of time available and you're much better off shooting down the enemy pilot once and then camping them the rest of the round. Real pilots don't play "Top Gun" in the air with other pilots and the ridiculous game mechanics but rather frag the enemy team so hard it makes them beg for mercy.
