Sounds like you have been listening more to the negative hype than anything else. The game is not released,hence it is still a beta. It like all other betas has some bugs that need to be worked out, hence it's beta. If you wait until the "final" release, then you might be waiting until the end of 2007.

It comes out in 2 months time !

Actualy I'm one of the "idiots" who subscribed to play the beta. Very worth the money IMHO. Brought back my faith in EA. I will definately buy 2142 when it comes out.

I didn't subscribe for BF2142, I've had a FP subscription for over two years now, pay about $50 a year, which I can pay by gettting all the change out of my car and out of my room for the most part.

Fast, no wait downloads, insight into betas/trailers/game info before everyone else, defiantly worth the money.

As for 2142, I'll defiantly be buying it. Worth my money.
