I've seen how EA and Dice handled BF2 and imho I dont see their business practice changeing much with any upcoming titles. why should they change if procuct still sells to the lowest common denominator? If you want things to change, just dont purchase their titles... that's it, no bitching, no whining... just cause, effect and no sale.
This seems like the only logical action left to take since they dont listen to their customers and dont put any effort into quality control. I understand the whole reason why they are in business is to make a profit but I think they are about to learn a very valuable lesson in balancing quantity with quality. that being said I dont think bf2142 is going to be a successful title, since there are so many people upset over bf2.
Bf2 seems to be the coup de grace for many people in the gaming community who have tolerated EA's less than stellar reputation when it comes to product quality and customer care. This isnt the first time I've seen EA rush a title, screw it up and leave the customer with a defective product which it does not fix.
that being said I've seen many posts saying dice makes the patches, not EA. Ok, fine... but who does Dice work for in this situation? who is the parent company here? if the game is broken by dice, and dice work for EA then EA should have lit a fire under them to fix it. I dont expect everyone to agree with my thoughts but I do hope it causes everyone who reads this to think a second before they buy a defective product, not just from EA but any other less than adequate publisher/developer. If there is a better way to deal with EA at this point I think myself and many others would love to know how.
