    Ribbon before Requirements??

    Was playing Warlord today, knowing that i was close to getting enough hours to get the Insurgent Forces ribbon.

    Went back to BFHQ and the ribbon was there. Checked on BF2 Player and i dont yet have enough hours for the ribbon.....WEIRD

    I've heard of delays in getting awards but getting one BEFORE its due...........

    Anyone else had this happen??

    Im not complaining just surprised :)

        I have seen many people post this same thing. Some get the award without the requirment, and some have to wait like 10 hrs more than requirment. Just another little bug.

        Also, some of the ribbons dont show in BFHQ because of space issues I believe.

              I think they established the ribbions first and then changed the badges later.

              For example I have 110+ hours in the SAS on the ribbion but just over 50 for the badge.

              The old requirement was something like 4500 hours I believe.

                        The ribbons are theatre meaning you can play either side SAS or Insurgent or Spetsnaz on Warlord, Night Flight or Ghost Town. The medals are for playing a specific army for 50 hours. You will almost definitely get the ribbons before you get the medals.

                          Consider that I played as a Spetz for 43 hours and within 7 hours of the ribbion. That is 50 hours.

                          Both ribbion and badge have 50 hour citeria but...

                          Consider that the Spetz badge has a 50 hour requirement, I will have to play about 30 more hours to get the badge meaning that I will have almost 100 hours when I have BOTH badge and ribbion as a spetz.

                          What map you play is irrevelant as long you have one second in all the required map for the badge.

                            Let me simplify it even more...

                            The only thing that matters for the ribbons are the total hours playing certain maps, i.e. theatre. The armies are irrelevant. Yes, you have to play all three for any length of time. You could even earn the a ribbon playing only one army.

                            Also remember that the theatres are composed of 2+ armies, so you will overlap with other ribbons that include the same maps (e.g. SAS and Insurgent ribbons both have Warlord overlapping, the SAS and Spetznas have Ghost Town overlapping)

                            However, since you really only play Warlord and Ghost Town, the only time you will earn Spetsnaz badge requirements are when you happen to play the Spetznas on Ghost Town and the rare times you play Surge or Mass Destruction. That's why you will earn the Spetznas ribbon long before you will earn the medal.

                            Again, the Medals are totally dependent on the time played as a particular army, the maps are irrelevant.

                            You mentioned you had 110 hours on the SAS ribbon, but just over 50 for the badge. That's because the SAS ribbon adds the time from the 3 maps regardless of which army you played.

                            SAS ribbon=~121 hours (your current approx).
                            Warlord= 87 hours
                            Ghost Town=29 hours
                            Night Flight= 5 hours

                            As for the Spetz ribbon, you have 46 hours based on your time on Ghost Town, Surge and Mass Destruction.

                            Spetznas ribbon=46 hours (you current approx).
                            Ghost Town=29 hours
                            Surge=8 hours
                            Mass Destruction=9 hours
