    Mouse Question

This is a real noob question I know and I understand that you get what you pay for in just about anything in life. But, what's the deal with gaming mouse's? I'm looking to get a wireless keyboard and mouse and I'm just wondering what actual benefits a gaming mouse provides over a standard optical mouse. I know the tech specs are better dpi etc, but how does this equate to the practical use of the mouse and it's gameplay benefits? are there any real benefits?
Thanks for your time guys! :)

    Re: Mouse Question

I don't really notice any difference, I've been using a Logitech MX518 Gaming mouse for the past year and sure it was good but the other week it broke so I was forced to use my $5 mouse that I got with the computer. And to tell you the truth, I can't notice a thing. It still works just as good as the MX518 and it was like 1/15 of the price :)

However, I am looking into getting a Razer Diamondback or Krait just because of the way it looks :P, it may be a bit more comfortable too.

        Logitech G5.
I definately notice a differende, everything is more smooth. no sudden flipping mouse cursos anymore.
ANd gaming mouses have Laser technology, instead of optical, so its a next-generation mouse
