I wouldnt bet on it. BF 1942 has been going strong for 4 years. BF2 is way more popular. Expect it to be around for much longer.

unfortunatelly.. poe2 is a big dissapointment for me, in current form im not going to play it anymore. it doesnt feel polished, complete, and it has that arcade style evem more exposed than vbf2. prmm is still much more apealing mod/TC for me [you can do a TC using the same models, but changing the gameplay TOTALY..]
so no, poe2 is not going to kill bf2 - it isnt ranked, but bf2142 is.. and we all know what makes 90% people play this game - ranks, points, awards

dam...all the noobs are worried about points and stats, not the gameplay and teamwork, to tell you the truth, the artillery howitzer vehicle lets other players control the artillery so that the commander doesn't use his toys and not command the team. Everything is great, I bet you guys don't even play teamwork

Ranked? Dude, teamwork has lost it's point since BF2 took over, teamwork is what's making the game fun, not the spawnkilling noobtards and people who want to gain rank play. I had fun for a long time in BF2, and I will not play with a bunch of spawn campers and let us loose this round
