Need help badly please

Hi, well, I used to be a member here and played BF2. I was pretty good, got up to Staff Sergeant. Then I stopped playing, unistalled it and didn't come here a lot. Recently I badly wanted to play, so I installed it and went online with a new account. There were no servers. Aha, I forgot to download 1.03. So I did, now there were only 5 servers. 3 Zboards, a TotalBF2, and a Battlegrounds server. I've tried downloading 1.3 from alomost every site and no luck. I know there are more servers, because when I click on Same Version only (making the X go away) there are tons of servers just in red, and won't let me join. Can someone tell me step by step on how to download and give me the best link for downloading 1.3. I wanna make sure I'm doing it right. Thanks a lot.

...or u could just wait a few more days. Patch 1.4 will be released soon enough. There isnt a set release date, but its soon. If u cant wait a little longer then that link should work fine.

Okay, once I download it, do I extract it to my desktop, double click on the icon, and just wait while it says "Patching"? That's what I've been doing.

Okay, I still can't get it. I still just have the 5 maps. Can someone tell me if this is excactly what's to be done?

1. I download the Winrar thing to my desktop.
2. Extract files to desktop.
3. Open the gray BF2 1.3 patch icon.
4. Choose language
5. It downloads
6. Says patching
7. Installation complete.
8. I log onto BF2 and nothings changed.


And another thing, does it matter if I open up BF2 by clicking on the icon Battlefield 2 or by clicking on the icon, "Play BF2 Online Now"?

I remember ~2 months ago before my PC went on meltdown, people were expecting the patch.

You guys are almost as bad as the Diablo2 community.

PB ain't it. I just got my PC back from repair and formatting.

I installed Bf2, SF, EF, 1.3 and it works fine, seeing all servers.

What is the version number displayed in the corner of the Bf2 menu?
