Despite all the grievances, CTDs, J-10 omnipitence, etc.

God I love this game. For all it's troubles, the naysayers and the 'this game is dead' spouters, BF2 simply remains an absolute bundle of fun. I actually thought I'd quit after reaching First Seagent, simply due to the fact that leading up to that promotion all I could think of was points points points. Now that's out the system, pulling off canny psych-out manouvers and taking down attack helis with AT missiles from an unfeasible distance and being accused of hax remains as fun as ever, if not more.

I doubt I'll make it to the next promotion 30,000 points away, simply because I do have a life as a rather busy musician outside of shooting internet people in the face. Come to think of it, I said this when I hit the 8000pt promotion mark.

BF2 does have it's troubles, you can't deny that. But far from being dead, it's as good as ever in my opinion. I agree that this doesn't excuse the lack of a J10 fix in the 1.4 patch, as well as a lot of things, including the unnecesary inclusion of 'IO'. Apart from that, this is still the greatest multiplayer game out.

The reason I'm posting this is that I've saw some ridiculously long-winded essays on here as of late about the downfall of the BF series, going into absolutely tedious detail. My objective head tells me this is still a great game, albeit let down somewhat by disappointing patches. What do you think?

You hear a lot of people saying this game is dieing, to many people are leaving, or there leaving, but I don't believe it at all, I run into a lot of new players all the time. Now if it was dieing...how would there be so many new people???

        1. You guys spelled dying wrong
        2. People are trying to get a life, thats why they are quiting (Not to offend you players and game makers out there)
        3. There are new games coming out like Battlefield 2142 (Including the Beta)

I think the game pisses me off alot of the time, every time I hit a chopper with an AT rocket and he kills me in 1 shot, everytime I unload a clip into a guy and he turns around and kills me, everytime I run into a claymore or nade spam, everytime a jet bombs me as I spawn, every time I shoot a TOW at the treads of a tank only to have the missile go right through.

I still play it from time to time but I dunno just doesnt seem that much fun anymore, hopefully they fix the lag and hit detection as thats probably the worse of it all.

One note to people who have anger problems:

Do not play BF2 or go to Anger Management

Amen, over & out brother! For this game to be THIS POPULAR where people are playing it in hordes day after day, there must be something to it. Sure everybody has issues with something but at the end of the day, it is still a blast to play overall. Am I right or am I smoking cheese sandwiches?
