    Can't enable x-fi

ran a search for this but oddly enough nothing came up.

I just bought the X-fi extreme music, and when I went to change the audio setting in BF2 to X-fi, when I hit apply, the game shuts down.

    and suggestions?

    Thanks.

download the drivers from creative.com and install those. Surprising this didn't show up on search, it's a very common problem... but anywho, those drivers will do the trick

you need to be in game mode or it will not work. Go to your creative volume control panel and switch to game mode. Then go back into bf2 and switch to x-fi. Restart bf2.

Turns out my system was using the Windows v5.12.2.1143 drivers. How that happened, I don't know
