Another way would be to type renderer.drawhud 0 in the console. change the 0 with a 1 to get it back. This will remove all names, health/ammo bar, crosshairs, minny map and anything else that is in the heads up display.

added- opps, well I just went to check it out to make sure i gave you the right command. But this does not remove the name tags. Sorry.
