I'm new to BF2, and I've heard all this stuff about "macros". Is this allowed in BF2, and if so how do I make them? I've heard of the one that allows you to 1man a helicopter with TV missiles, but I don't know how you would do that?

Re: Question regarding macros
Anyone ever went to fitness forums, or forums for people who work out? Every once in a while theres a youngster signing up asking for "pills" that boost your muscle. Same sh!t here.
You just switch seats and fire the missile. Macroing is considered cheating by most people here.Comment

Re: Question regarding macros
I have probably around 100 different buttons on my keyboard and joystick for macro-use. I dont use any of them.
Macros in BF2 really gives no advantages, everything is working out just as well with finger-combos and practice. Maybe C4-tossing was easier erlier with macros. I dont have any problem tossing C4 manually today.
The only thing that maybe be an advantage with macro is seatswitch and fire for manually guided lasermissiles for bombers when going solo in both positions.
As long as BF2 is restricted to fingerspeed for programming macros, they really dont give any advantages.
Logitech MX518 with two thumb-buttons is the best thing. I have crouch on #4 for fast pronespam, and #5 for weapon 3, to fast switch between singelshot or auto, or getting my assaultrifle when reviving/healing.Comment

Re: Question regarding macros
I have my Mx1000 and Mx510 set for the same thing with the thumb buttons. I also set one to seat 2 while in choppers, and seat 1 while in land vehicles. The gunner seat in a chopper is treated as a land vehicle, so I only have to use one button to switch back and forth.
By keeping all the buttons for switching seats and launching TV missiles on my mouse, I have gotten to where I can shoot them off almost as fast as some of the guys who have made videos.Comment
