Just watched the preview of POE (looks awsome) and thought it strange that the patch was delayed around lauch of new major mod. Makes me wonder if POE got a pre-release version to test with their mod and encoutered the now infamous bug? If its true, the patch will release tomorrow. Pure speculation but it would make sense.

You may not have noticed but every single major mod for BF2 out there is waiting for 1.4 so they can release an update. -

I dont think so. PoE2 planned their release date on the anniversary of PoE. Which was Aug 23 I think. But they must have been delayed by a day They release the password protected files today, and the password on Saturday.
It could be possible though. Its nice to think that EA/DICE are delaying a patch for the sake of a great mod.Comment

I think ther plan is to hold 1.4 in untill they release bf2142 hits shelfs. this way more people will get 2142 before going to the mods. the PoE2 will probably release there mod anyway.Comment

Apparently l wasn't clear. POE gets the patch last week, pre-release, a week before their original release date, Aug. 23. They encounter a problem with the patch and report it from testing last week. It delays the patch so the patch probs will not hamper the mod release.
We know POE has delayed its launch from the Aug 23 anniversery date. We know the patch was delayed due to bug. POE confidently announces release of mod on Aug. 26, ergo patch Aug 25. Thats my prediction.Comment
