Competitive Battlefield

How would one person go about playing battlefield2 competitevly? I played counterstrike in cal for a few season and know that IRC is the place the join a clan and ESEA is a good place to play with pros and such. Are there any pay-to-play places, like ESEA, or places (like IRC) to search for a clan?

And are there bigger leagues for BF2 than cal? Or is the majority of competivite BF in cal?

Well yeah, but I mean more of the CAL style playing with ladders and seasons and 8v8 with organized teams not just a bunch of idiots who tk people over planes and tanks and throw artys on their own team.

Well its pretty easy, just go on clan base, see who is in your skill range on bf2 ladders, and drop by their website and apply to join. As for pay to play i am not too sure about that but im sure there are some, just try googling.

Hi Dan,

Go to www.caleague.com > Official Forums > Battlefield 2 Open Division > there is a sticky at the top for recruiting. Lots of team there still recruiting. Next week is the last week for pre-season. Regular Season 4 starts the week after next.

The highest level of BF2 competition in North America is found at CAL, it's where you'll find the best clans in North America and some of the best in the world playing.

CEVO is considering having Battlefield 2 in that league, but it's still up in the air.

Thanks for the replies everyone. Hope I can get in, since I quit WoW (:evil: ) ive been missing competitive FPS games.
