Flying over the North Beach towards Airfield
Pursuing a single J-10.
I originally tried to take him out with the F-35's chain gun. He was moving to much to get a clear shot. I switched over to the Missle Lock. I tricked him into wasting his flares. I re-locked and fired 2 missles. He pulled off to the right, and although the missles were locked on him, the missed. I locked on him again, fired 2 missles, both missed. I tried to lock on again but I diverted off to the carrier after the warning X came up....I figured it was a ground to air missle.
How did he manage to evade my missles without using flares? The only thing I can think of is that he slowed down gradually during the chase, and once locked on, he slowed way way down until his afterburner dimed down so the missles misfire. What do you guys think?
