Upgraded comp, how will it run?

I just upgraded my computer pretty extensively from what I used to have. How will the game run? What settings will work the best?

Intel D865GSA Motherboard
Intel Pentium D 920 2.9gig Dual Proc.
XFX Geforce 7900GS 256mb
1gig PC3200 RAM
500W PSU

med/high...well all high if u want some stuttering at the beginning of ur game since u only have 1 gig of ram...and theres something about dual processors and the game not running well together...but idk much about that

er it will run, like if you tried it out for yourself instead of type it in to us whicn is more boring then playing BF2.

i was asking because i couldnt get bf2 to work because of the stupid patch error. got it running last night and man it looks and runs good!

i cant wait till i get my new comp...im prob getting a 6600gt instead of a 6800ultra since my powersupply wont be enuff (and no im not planning on upgrading my psu)

I had the XFX Geforce 6600gt before I got my XFX 7900GS. The 6600gt is a very good card for its price. Plus, like you said you dont need much power to run it. The 7900GS is a beast. I had to buy a 500w dual channel PSU and it has to have ATLEAST 20a@12v.

I have a worse GPU, and runs everything maxed out @ 1280X1024, runs great, no lag at all.
But you will get some sluttering at the first 2-3 minuts of the round, I think that's becuz it loads the map, and you have "only" 1gb of ram. I have this prob too, but it's completely over after some minuts, and then you will enjoy the full power of your card.

if no one is shooting and no exploding around, you can get on 64 players karkand like 100 fps (I get 80-90), and if you lose control in a jet and the only view is the sky (even no clouds), i'll get to 200-350 :p
That's not very useful, but it's fun to see the bug numbers and smile


Oh and if your frequently get the "there is a prob with your conn" message, that's because the dual core. Just PM me, I wrote a list of necessary solutions i had to use to get a flawless game, maybe some of them will help you.

Well I'll say INTEL SUX not good for gaming get AMD...GFX card run high 2xaa if want 4xaa get laggy for 5min in the game so
Lighting/tex/terrin/shadow/HIGH/rest med 2xaa if you want run high you get 60FPS
