    Problems with Battle recorder.

When I try to go to community and play my battle recorder files this is what I get: <this server has refused to send this file> or <Failed looking up host name>.
I looked around and found that bf2s has a help section (you can find it here Http://wiki.bf2s.com/other/battlerecorder) which I read and folder the directions for how to play in community tab. It told me to move the files in the folder EA games\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\Demos\ to My Documents\BAttlefield 2\Profiles\Default\demos\ Unfortunately when I looked in the move from folder it was empty. I thought it had been done for me but the move to folder was also empty. In case it matters I have EF, AF, and SF. If anyone else has had this problem please tell me how you fixed it or if you know what files should be in the demos folder please post it here or pm me.

BR is not working in Game anymore.
I tryed it a few times and I have talked to others who are having the problem.
Everytime you go into Console and type "demo.record DEMO (Whatever name of your file is), It doesn't work
        What can fix it?

Fraps is a program for recording your game play. Most of the BF2 movies are made using this. It is free. Google it.

              Re: Problems with Battle recorder.

i've never had problems with battlerecorder. if it says that the server has refused to send the file, that isnt bf2's fault, that is the server that you are trying to download it from. any battlerecorders that you do manage to download go into my comp / "username"'s documents / battlefield 2 / profiles / defualt / demos

if you record your own demo with the demo.recorddemo "demo name" (only works in servers that you host; lan or dedicated) then that file goes into my comp / c / program files / ea games / battlefield 2 / mods / bf2* / demos

in order to play the file, you must move that file (the second file location) to the previously mentioned file location

*you can also record battlerecorder files in other mods, in which case the demo file you are looking for will not be under the bf2 mod file; these files need to be moved to the same file location in order to play them and you need to open the correct mod to play them

I have tried all the servers that I've play on and i get that message for most but some say failed looking up host name could that be a problem with the server?

try the 260pimpshack server, just search for "260". it is 48 player server and the battlerecorders always work for me.

yeah, failed to lookup hostname is the servers problem, they made a mistake when they were starting the server and probably did not set a valid url to download the file from

ps. just wanted to see if i could edit your quote

It's probably the servers fault and you can't do the demo.record DEMO unless you're the host and it's not demo.record DEMO it's demo.recorddemo demoname
