Good news.. I DID get a reserved name... Bad news.. It was one I didn't want, just one that I entered to test if it was just screwing up because of the name I wanted reserved..
So it wasn't a bf2 name in use, it was bf2142...

Hm, so now, maybe I should make a random bf2 account. Change the email on my real bf2 account so i can get my real email on the fake account... And get a real reservation this time..

i got the same exact problem, im struggling for an hour with the superb EA registry system..finally got the veteran page filled with everything. i hit the button and said something about error "x whatever" so i try again with a random name just to make sure the problem came from the Veteran register thingy and..."congratulation you succesfully signed up as a veteran" -.-

so i got registred...with a random ghay name..whithout a single chance to revert this? Is there any way to delete the random name i entered? i dont want to remake an account on bf2

Well, some a$$hat has my name already. Go figure with a name like mine. I did notice something though, it let me register with a space so the old name was <|BuxB|>Paris_Hilton and the new one is Paris Hilton. Kinda cool that you can use a space in there. I don't understand why they changed the max characters to 14 when it was 20 max in BF2.

all of them were in use

I cant use mine, apparently its to short...which is dumb because it worked just fine for BF2 =P Im going to have to find out if somethings just up.

My gf and i got ours this morning without any hassels...

yay reserved NoRC & Jeza for BF2142, lookin forward to its release as well.

It makes me think of Tribes & Battlefield 2 mixed into 1 game hurrah!

I've got to think this veteran program database thing is still in its tweaking stage. Some people's BF2 names have already been taken, some of which are ones that really no one else would think of, like a couple of people I know on other forums and parish's, for example. Then there's the massive heart attack I give the database when I input my BF2 name into the BF2 Soldier Name box. I also read on another forum (may have even been totalbf2142) that nobody can reserve your BF2 name because of how EA's database and gamespy's databases are merged somehow...didn't really understand it myself but it might explain why some people are unable to register even their own BF2 account name, obscure though it may be.
