Only the default (TGN Light) theme for now. Dark them is also coming back soon. Then CSN. Then Wrestlin' Nation. A lot of WIP stuff right now. There are a couple of things still not working either. Sorry.
Could someone help?
I registered an EA account, that was fine,
I put in my BF2 username and password,
I then chose a name for bf2142, that was NOT my bf2 name.
and I got
"BF2 Soldier Name already used by another player"
Could someone help? What am I doing wrong?
ive no idea mate did you try registering it and then try it again or did the page not reload properly when doing it and you had to click refresh ???.
You get to reserve your in game name (so you can keep your old bf2 name if you want) and you get a free unlock for bf2142 . You may as well do it if you want to keep your name even if your not getting the game you could change your mind and end up buying it and someone else already has your regular name.
p.s. It wont let you have numbers at the beginning of your name so if you have them you ll have to change it I'm stuck with Zulukiller18 now .
Thank you for posting the link!
I have been waiting patiently.
Thanks again!
Well, I think anybody can register any name...you just have to be the first.
For example:
-I enter my EA username and pass and my BF2 username and pass and under BF2142 soldier name I enter the name YOU wanted.
If they allowed the EXACT same player names in BF2142 as they did in BF2, then I could see how they could ensure that everybody got their exact player name...but that is just not the case.
Sorry, I read your post wrong. I thought it was the BF2142 name that was already registered.
I would probably email EA support and see what's going on. Are you sure you're typing your name in correctly - I know that the username field is case sensitive. Maybe you didn't capitalize certain characters.
Ok........so I delete my tag and try register my name w/o it.....then it says my screen name is too short? Why do they have to make things so difficult?

Sorry about your luck.
Then it would say ""BF2142 Soldier Name already used by another player" not "BF2 Soldier Name already used by another player".

Damn, would be gutted if this had happened.. I don't think it did.. But it might
If someone here tries to reserve another name in the vets, does it say
"BF2 Soldier Name already used by another player"?
If the page didnt reload properly when you submitted your information and you did press refresh it thinks your trying to do it twice. So you might actually have your name if you had to press the refresh button.
This has happend to me before when shopping online ive gone to submit my order the page hasnt loaded properly and then ive clicked refresh. I only got confirmation for one order but i ended up getting charged for it twice and the thing got sent out as a double order.
So this name I'm saving isn't the actual name I'll be logging in with?
Of course it if but you don't log in as such with your clan tags. That's the whole point of clan tags. They aren't attached to your login and can change them whenever you like.
