Re: Why do servers admins kick players for simply to being good?

If you really were kicked from the server for being TOO GOOD, then you should firstly be proud of the fact, but there is another issue aswell.
All too often on public servers there is a major imbalance with teams if there is a considerable amount of clan members in one particular team.
I have seen (and I'm sure many who play 24/7 Karkand servers) squads of clanmembers who are mostly medics totally dominate a map and win by 20/30 points clear of everyone else. What fun is this for the other team (mostly made up of casual players) who constantly lose every round?
What normally happens is after a few rounds MOST of the disheartened (lose every round) team leave the server after multiple requests to EVEN OUT THE TEAMS!
My most enjoyable experiences of BF2 are when the teams are evenly balanced and people are more concerned about having fun than their precious stats and k/d ratios.

Really good players are kicked because those admins are jealous that they aren't number one. It's human nature, simple as that.

No it's not simple as that.

I personally have never kicked anyone for being "too good" but generally speaking (oh noes!! he's generalizing) being a smart alec, and arguning with an admin will get you kicked 100% of the time.

Bragging, and "hindering" (oh noes!!! not hindering) the game will get you kicked too. Saying the choppers/jets are "mine", TKing for vehicles, not picking people from spawnpoints will get you kicked from some servers too.

You guys stop inflating your already humongous heads, and follow server rules, and stop whining like little children.

lmfao i know what you mean, but i found 1 server i kick it with, got comfortable with the admins, pretty decent rules and its home now for me. My clan had a server, nobody played it. Check out 260 pimp shack, its probably the best server i played on, and btw check my kicks in my stats, lmfao ..... talk about being good, thats the reason i stopped playing on other servers, they dont welcome competition.

Or something close. Take it as a compliment and move on.

That's acceptable, and classy, but making admittedly false accusations of stat padding and hacking as reasons for kicking is irresponsible.

The answer is simple - because they can. I wouldn't expect those particular servers to last very long though.

              Thx for the props Immy

acceptable my 4$$, that is statpadding, & their server should be unranked if it is not open to the public

Some of my guys and me got banned from DPG for being good in the chopper and jet. They banned me first, for no reason stated, then they banned another one of use for being idle, well he was but a ban?

I've been accused of hacking before. Some punk clanner taunted me with "I totally pwned you! How do you have your score? You must be cheating!" I braced for a kick/ban but thankfully there was another player who was doing at least as good as me. Why is it assumed that when you are having a good game, then you must be cheating?!

Re: Why do servers admins kick players for simply to being good?

i have been playing BF2 since the demo was released and im still not used to be kicked. i get so pissed off when im kicked. i have been kicked about 23 times for having a high score in a server. all my other kicks are pretty much for too many tk's mostly because of accidents with jet bombing of a flags or from team mates running where i just threw a nade or from before tk count for mines was turned into a feature you can turn on or off.

im one of real honest player minority in bf2. i forgive for every tk unless the person tk'ed me on purpose. i say sorry for every tk i do. i have actually crashed my plan or copter a few times for saying sorry. i dont tk for jets or copters and i dont stand infront or on copters or jets when they take off to cause a tk.

Simple, some just cannot face it that someone can be better than they are ... thus they must be cheating.

Just trying to be fair & honest. Would you prefer I kick you 3/4 of the way through the round with "Making room for an admin."

                          EDIT: I've never admin'd a BF2 server, I'm just playing devil's advocate.

Yes, that true. Obviously, if you're not following the rules or being too much of an annoyance (arguing and such), I understand why you can be kicked. But no server rules will ever state "You must kill less than 20 players each round, and your score must not exceed 50 points!" or "Scores must be close to the average of all the players. If you play better than anyone else, YOU WILL BE BANNED!"

I know not every single admin kick players with relatively high scores or high kill counts, but those who do just don't like losing to that player. If the admin has total power and hates the player because he's has too many kills, guess what he'll do? Boot him because he can. That's human nature. It is simple as that.

To the original poster of the topic, all I can say is to go to another server. It doesn't matter how bad the previous admin was. That's the solution. I've been kicked for absurd reasons, but that's what I do.

I'd go to their forums, leave a nice little complaint, and then go to a new server. =)

Things get sorted out better on forums, since the higher ups have a better chance of seeing it. Going to their TS, just means you're dealing with the same pricks who booted you in the first place.

I wish more people would do that...

Most people just don't pay attention to rules, that's the problem. 99.9% of the "I got kicked from a n00b admin" threads here a TotalBF2 are really about some guy disrespecting an admin, swearing or breaking some kind of rule.

Usually the second post is "I would have banned you too" cause the guy will ADMIT to breaking a rule.
