For the L96 you need Special Forces.

Each time you rank up, you get an unlock (or two, in some cases, not exactly sure how that works). Remember that you must unlock the m95 before you can unlock the L96A1... at least as far as I remember.

Edit: As far as SF, I was able to unlock SF weapons without having SF installed (after I reinstalled windows). Makes me wonder how they handle this.

You don't have to have SF installed to get the unlocks, all you have to do is play SF just one time. So, if you played SF before you reinstalled windows, thats why you got the unlocks.

That is correct. You just need a SF time in your game profile.

I don't think you need the M95 to unlock the L96A1... right?

you have to have played SF at least once doesn't matter if it is installed on your computer and you have to have the M24 unlocked already because you have to have the 1st unlock before you can get the 2nd...

its the 3rd teir unlock, you have to first unlock the 50 cal to have the ability to unlock the L85.

When u get promoted u can cycle through which unlocks to get. If u want the L9 just press the Arrow button until it appears. It will be the second option to unlock, since with SF u get two options.

Here is an diagram to make things easier. This is my unlocks, I will unlock both of those two unshaded weapons.

If you have SF, you get two unlocks at each promotion. But to recieve the SF unlocks, you must first have that kits' unlock already from regular BF.

Example, you can only get the L96A1 if you have the M-95. If you have not unlocked the M-95, then you must wait till you get an unlock credit at promotion for an unlock.

Think carefully about what you want to unlock before you start picking.

explain how you unlock something, i just got on battlefield 2 SF and i couldn't find where u unlock stuff
