I wanted to start a thread for all those people that are the victim of joining a server that is run by clans that either don't know what they are doing or choose to act like they don't know what they are doing to get an advantage.
I won't mention the names of the clans that I have run into (mostly because I can't remember them) but, the bad taste left by a horrible clan server lingers a long time and will keep me from rejoining it indefinetly.
The most recent experience was with clan server that was had all clan members stacked on one side. We were playing Karkand and they were whoring the USMC. While I think this is quite lame, I didn't complain. Their money, their server, their business. I continue to play MEC until I notice that my team is having a hard time holding onto any flags (we only had three when I joined the game) so I check the stats. I see that the team with all the clan members has 14 players while my team has 7. I hate playing games where the teams are this unbalanced so I ask for an admin to fix it.
Some of the clan members reply that it is all the non-clan members that keep switching sides and that if they don't become MEC they will be kicked. I say ok and wait. A few do get switched over but, they keep switching back so I ask the admin to why he doesn't just turn on auto-balancing. He says they are "working on it" (I don't see how its so hard to turn it on but, I don't own a server so whatever.) Meanwhile as they are "working on it" they continue to take all but one of the flags now and are just spawn raping.
I, meanwhile, am watching the teams, waiting for them to even out to rejoin the fight. Finally, after about 5 minutes it is apparent that they are not going to auto-balance the teams (I watched several players on their side die and respawn on the same team.) So I say in general chat, "Can two more people please join MEC so we can have a fair fight." Now apparently my "constant nagging" (asking 3 times over 5-10 minutes) about wanting to have a fair game pissed off the clan because they start calling me an *******, telling me to STFU and all that stuff. They finally take the last flag and I check the teams before the game ends. It was 5 on 15.
To anyone from that particular clan that may be reading this, "Good work, asshats, on running one of the worst servers that it has ever been my misfortune to play on. May your server lay dormant and your stats be reset to the noob levels that you deserve."
Ok, your turn...
