    BF2 crashes, please help

Hi guys. My bf2 keeps crashing to desktop after playing it a while.
I can go 2-3 maps without bf2 crashing. It can also go only 5 minutes until it crashes. Before the crash the game freezes for a second then a black screen and then back to win desktop.

I have all the newest patches installed.

    Here is my computer details...

    Pentium 4 CPU 3 GHZ
    1 GB RAM
    Windows XP

Graphics card: GEFORCE 7300 LE 256 MB with the newest drivers installed.

    Please help!!

Might just be the 1.3 patch back to its good old self.(DAM PATCH) If not then im sure it dosnet have anything realy to do with your hardware as it looks like it could easily play BF2. Not to sure about the grapics card though. How long has this problem been happening since you installed bf2 or only just started happening?

I am currently having the same issues. Even reinstalled the 1.3 patch and it didnt help at all. Game just crashes to desktop at random.

I've been getting the hang crap...where it just freezes and I have to hard reset. It only appeared after installing 1.3. I'm not going to worry about any crashes/freezes/lock ups b/c 1.4 is coming out real soon. If I still have problems, then I'll look further.

replace the phrase two or three maps with two or three minutes and that's me.

does yours flash black for a split second and lag befor it does it too? I have the EXACT same PC setup as you btw.

Just curious, are you using one memory module or two? If you are using two are they both the same manufacturer? The only way I was able to get BF2 from CTDing was to set my memory clock speed slower because the chips are from different makers. I'm hoping when I get new models I can run them are their proper speeds, or even OC a little. I think BF2 has some type of problem where any memory corruption will CTD. Try slowing your memory clock speed and also not OCing and see what happens. Just my two cents.
