will reducing my graphics and sound quality improve PING?

    ok...plz ignore my first post...

ive now borrowed BF2 v1.0 from my pal which keeps crashing online and sometimes offline too. I Have 3 questions to ask...

    1) will reducing my graphics and sound quality improve PING?

    2) are my laptop specs good enough

    Intel Centrino Duo 2.0 GHz
    1GB DDR2 RAM
    120 GB Hard-drive
    256mb nVidia Geforce Go 7400

    3) what are the best drivers for my GPU??

2 people cant have the same copy of the game to play on.

you would need to buy it for yourself and give 'your mate' back his,

    as for your questions,

    1) no, that only increase's the Performance/FPS (frames per second)
    2) yes
    3) nvidia's ones proberly

and most likely having to patch to 1.3,

and you may get a ban from having an illegal copy but perhaps this will help you to playing a legit version

Any real reason behind that? I run BF2 on my IBM T43 all the time and it works fine. I have way less video memory than the OP so I think he would be fine.
