Is there any way to add a server to your favourites list by ip?

And if not, why not!?

yes go into your profile: /my documents/bf2/profiles/000x/ and edit general.con in notepad. scroll down till you see your favorites, then add a line in. be sure to give it a name because bf2 doesnt resolve the server name, it just uses whatever it says in the favorites.
