Map Score of 300+ say goodbye to stats

Well it seems EA are now claiming that anyone with stats showing a best round score of 300+ will get stats reset.

This has happened to one of our clan. He never stat padded and never abused the game in anyway.

They reset his stats. The only reason it seems that is coming back is because he has a best round score of about 307 on Masatuue.

For all those who played the game prior any patch release you will remember how easy it was on a map like Masatuue city to just sit in a black hawk and gun down everyone.

Now those who played on a 64 player map with about 30 players on it will know how long those rounds last and you will also know that if you flew a blackhawk as an engineer with 2 medics on guns and a couple of engineers in the back you could easily rack up scores of over 300.

So what are you all going to do about this? Are you going to let EA do this.

Well let me give you all a piece of advice now.

Are you aware that if EA resets your stats they are labling you as a cheater?
Well to be labled as a cheater when you have not actually cheated at it they are in effect liable of defamation of chatacter.

Now if you check most Libel cases in the uk for example to have your persons attacked in this way with the defamation of character, most claiments win in excess of £2,500 in conpensation. Search google for Lible cases.

This does come under Libel and not slander as slander is spoken attacks. This however is documented attacks as it is a result of EA changing online information about someone which results in labling the person as a cheater.

So to all those who have stats reset...Consider this action if you have not knowingly cheated.

As a footnote :) muhahaha this is me just being an arse now to protect my fellow clan mate.... We will be sending ID's of all players with a best round score above 300 for EA to reset your stats. I will do this in the hope that all those ( and there are 1000's ) will take some form of action against EA and in doing so teach EA a serious lesson in how to and not to treat the people WHO MAKE THEM THEIR MONEY.

Yea ok it is 1 way to stop stat padding, but, come on, there must be 1000's of accounts with a BRS of 300+

Come on EA you're a global company and this is all you could think of.

Simple fact is by having your stats reset all the trust and respect people had in you is lost. Now if you have not done anything to cheat you are losing respect and trustworthyness by actions from EA.. its simple

His whole character has now been attacked by EA's actions. He is also responsible for funding and running a server. Without doing anything wrong he has now had his whole character attacked and lost all respect.

How can EA justify this. All they can respond with is...your stats dont add up... and from what we gather this is down to having a 300+ BRS.

You can get 300 on some servers still, just get alteast 150points then apply for commander before map ends :) .

Not sure if that would count as abusing the system or not lol.

Whee when you create an account for BF2 do you put in your real name, address, phone number, etc.

From what i recall, its a username, password, and an email address, any email address. If any persona is being affected, insulted, etc, its his online persona - a created one! and if he gets miffed about it, then i think he takes things a lil too seriously

Well if it seems that way to you then that is your way of thinking.

My way of thinking is this. Myself, I am 35, My clan mate is in his 20's.
Now it was me who has mentioned this and brought this up. WHY? Well let me explain.

When you get to a certain age you start realising that there are ways of stopping people from abusing systems. For example people come on here and complain about admin abuse. They do that because they know it is wrong.

Who ever tells someone who is complaining about admin abuse is told he is looking stupid?

Well this is no different. I bring up this things because this is abuse by EA and because of my age and understanding of certain Laws I see that this abuse can be stopped.

Sorry if you do not wish to hear this but the simple fact is that is HAS NO proof of cheating.. They have no screen shots nothing. All they have is what they have told us. Becaus ethe have figures as guidelines they check stats with these and if they dont match the person must be cheating.

The simple fact is they believe it is not possible to get over 300 in a round. Well ist probably not now but PRIOR to the patches we all knew how easy it was. So are they saying because its not possible now you must have cheated to get the stats...even if it was prior to patches?

You agree to an EULA before playing the game, the issue in regards to how they go about re-setting player stats is covered in it.You should probably have read it before you decided to go off on the Libel tangent.

Doesn't matter whether your defenition is right or wrong,you can't sue them as you gave up your right to do so when you agreed to the EULA.

But I guess if youve played for a long time and like comparing your stats with other peoples, you'd be pissed if they were wiped!

Its a record of how youve done, how long youve played etc. Id be annoyed anyway.
