Well i would assume he had a rough understanding of what he is going to do as a hard copy before he went to actually draw it..

Using the paint tool and all the shape tools is enough, plus he seems to have a huge ease and understanding of shadows and highlights. These are the key when you are digital painting. As for me, I suck in shadows and lights, that's why my photoshop painting are ugly, for now.

btw, where do you guys find those bars in ur sigs, you know, BF2 player, Coke drinker, XP user, etc. ?

Say what you want but there is no way that's scratch work. Maybe he calls copy and pasting something else so he can say he doesn't do it. But that's not done in MS Paint sorry guys.

Well sure there's that possibility. I could say that I invented the telephone, but still, when I look at these straight lines forming the details, it IS possible with paint.
