If you think PRMM is "hardcore realism" than you seem to know as much as the guy who wrote the text in the loading screens for each map, ie, as much as a 12 year old tom clancy fan who thinks hes a military expert.

In comparison to Vanilla BF2 it is FAR more real. Not quite as reall as Americas Army but at least a close second.

Mods for the win. BF2 inf combat is kinda stupid in Vanilla.

I would play PR if I got a good ping on the servers. Everything is in Europe gah.

Actually the server I play on www.gloryhoundz.com is in Texas. =)

Hmmm Ill go and see how I ping on that server now. PR is great, and I wish I could play it more often. Oh it seems a little better now. But its apparently locked for a practice for a clan or tourney or something.

*shrugs* I don't mind the jeep drop at all. OMG you mean to say BF2 isn't super-duper realistic? Hmmm that's odd because I thought in RL after being shot with a rocket you'd spawn back at your house after a few seconds down time? How could I be so wrong

you should try out operation peace keeper and bf2 sandbox those are good mods better than regular bf2

I have not played vanilla BF2 for about 5 months. I'm more into the hardcore realism of Project Reality. But since my server was full I decided to give Vanilla BF2 a try. What happened to this game? I went to 3 servers & everyone was just jumping around & then lying flat on the ground shooting, what is that? I forgot unless you get a head shot you need AT LEAST 1 FULL clip to kill anybody . I also noticed vehicles coming out of the sky WTF? I'm no military expert but I dont think were dropping Humvee's from the sky currently in Iraq. I'm sorry but I'm going back to Project Reality because this ARCADE game is not for me.......End of rant.

Since patch 1.3 the game has gone to hell and I dont think it will come back unless that release patch 1.4 ASAP but they knowing how EA is greedy they will probaly want money for it because of them adding one map. I am sorry but if that is the case then EA can take the game and BURN IN HELL!!

project reality IS about as realistic as a game can get and still be fun. i do agree that vehicle drops are lame and i do hate dolphin divers and bunny hopppers.

There's nothing unrealistic about airdropping vehicles.
BF2's implementation isn't exactly realistic, but then again that's not what the GAME is about.

BTW, BF2142 is lookin hella cool.
The beta is fun.
