Rank limiter...

New idea make BF2 interesting........ add an admin control that will limit ranks e.g. limit game play to above 1st SGT and Master SGT for expert play...under those ranks for beginner play.......

Would make it funner for the beginners and mabye more interesting and challenging for the seasones veterian.

i beleive that is actually against ROE though lol. Someone else in another topic talked about officers only and it was brought up that it is against ROE so...don't know

i have 2 accounts one where i am a 1st LT and another where im just a lance corporal, how would it be able to differentiate me from a proper beginner? it couldnt you'd get a load of players creaing 2nd/3rd acc. just to do some owning and infalte there ego's

That says it all right there. The idea has been suggested a few times before. The first I heard of it was at least 6 months ago, I guess since it is against the ROE, the ends would not justify the means.

Rank really only tells us how much time people have spent on BF2 not how good they are. I've seen a lot of n00b like officers running around, and a lot of enlisted that own.

We are talking about the majority the majority of the higher rankings has more combat/teamwork/commanding experience the beginner has not. Therefore I like to play with people who actually know what their doing instead of the people who drive away if I say 'Hey I need a ride!'.

From what I've seen this is against the ROE but I would love to see if it's possible on unranked servers without the people that care for points etc.

Another thing is just because somebody is a low rank dosen't mean they are crap, I have been killed by lower ranks many a time and have killed people of much higher rank than me. So 'officers only' or 'rank limiting' dont mean a thing. It could mean some private goes on a server saying 'officers only' and owns them all coz theres no admin to kick him?

Sounds like a bull$h!t to me !
What about Battlefield 1942,Vietnam and all other games.... Those games doesn't have RANKING SYSTEM but everyone play it without any complains.
what about BF1942 if you buy the game now,you will complain about getting pwned?
You can play old BF with veterans who own the game for many years and you wont even know anything.
I think all you people doesn't understand what the ranking system is and for.....
Why there is should be something like (limit ranks) thats a newbs bull$h!t!
Just play the game like all others games that have no ranks if you S@K you will be pwned even by a newbee......
