how do people connect to servers?

i've been using gamespy arcade lately and i'm starting to hate it. For whatever reasons, all the sudden the chat disconnects and I can't connect to anything. It bugs the crud out of me.

What other methods do others use? The in game browser always 'crashes' on me.

Any other suggestions?

I just use the ingame browser. The less stuff I have running in the background the better my system runs. Gamespy Arcade has been speculated to create a bit of lag where otherwise a very minimal amount would exist.

Just a quick question - can you see the same servers in Gamespy/Qtracker etc that also show up in the in-game browser?

Ingame browser or sometimes I enter the IP directly if my friends are on some server and the browser fails to locate it.
Haven't bothered to get any other aid for that purpose.

I use Qtracker to find a server with desirable settings first .. then i use the ingame browser to connect/queue if it's full or sthing.

Just a quick question - can you see the same servers in Gamespy/Qtracker etc that also show up in the in-game browser?

The ingame browser lists, at best, about 900 servers.

When I use Qtracker I get 6000 BF2 servers.
