Basic Helicopter Badge?

I spend a lot of time in Black Hawks ferrying guys to the frontlines but I never seemed to get the "Basic Helicopter Badge". Can I not get the badge in a transport chopper?

According to bf2s the requirements are 15 minutes in a round. A transport helo is fine, but that is still quite a lot of time in one round.

Does the BH count, or does it count towards transport? I have spent time in a BH during a round before, but my time in helo did not increase.

I did it on Dalian in a BH, though 15 mins seems like an hour when your waiting for a badge to pop up. Stick with it you'll get there. Or you could take a chopper really high and nearly out of bounds and hover for 15 mins

I got mine in a BH as well, circling around Wake Island.

I got this badge. I gain it on Clean Sweep although not my all time favourite map. I went onto a 32 player server became commander sat in the black hawk and I found that the time went quickly as you are doing something. I would also say hide the BH so you don't get killed by jets, and your team must have really good jet players who can fly taking out the other side jets and team work so you win and gain points at the same time. This is how I gain the chopper badge and it worked for me. Also find a server when playing commander that people can not vote you off.

15 minutes flight time is a LOT of time. I was stop watching myself to check the stats reports and 10 minutes of air time seems like half an hour when you are piloting the bus around. And then switch it to the attack chopper on a great round and 15 minutes goes by in about 15 seconds

I got mine in a cobra, I got basic and veteran at the same time, weird :hmm:

i got mine on mastuur, just flying around carryin troops to flags. love that map. tho it sucks now cause the BH is nerfed

sit in black hawk, park it in palce where no one will find like under carrier, and go watch tv till commercials.

same for transport.

I got it on Dragon Valley, get the black hawk, hover as high as you can for 15 mins, you've got the badge.
